I want curly hair?

My hair is wavy, and I want it curly. I usually get relaxers, but my hair stays wavy. What are some of my options? I am African American. I don't want it to get poofy, I just want to have loose spiral curls (not too tight). My hair is a couple of inches past my shoulders.

If you perm and your hair stays wavy, sounds like you need to change perms.

Try Motions.

Then to get the nice spirals you want, do a traditional "Shirley Temple Curl" style. Get some plastic rollers and roll it up!

Works wonders.

Or... you could do those smaller spirals, using straws.

Those are ok, as long as they're not too greasy looking.

Best thing to do is go to your beautican and let her handle this. You sound like you have nice hair length. Don' mess it up on fast do it yourself products.

set it. it should last a few days anyway. the wave left in your hair from relaxer should help it hold a 'set'.
