For my 17th birthday I would like to get highlights. I have mid-back length dark brown african-american hair. What color would look best as highlights?

i actully think an auburn type will look really cute! i've seen someone with your color hair get auborn highlights their cute! because they have a little red in them and the dark readish-brown will look good with dark brown.
