What type of short hairstyle would look best on me?

I have relaxed african american hair that almost reaches the middle of my back, but I'd like to cut it shoulder length or shorter. I've heard that I might look good with bangs (I have an oval face and a high forehead) but I'm still not entirely sure.

I need a hairstyle that doesn't require much maintenance or styling because I'm not good with hair, nor can I afford to go to the salon more than once every few weeks. I just really need a style that will fit my face.
