i think it will be okay, if it wasn't good for other hair types it would probably say it on package, when you go to the store read the back of the label, it will tell you everything you need to know.

my hair is a few inches below my shoulder, and it's somewhat coarse.

it works fine for me.

I would guess that it would be a safer bet to just go with something like pantene. It's better for your hair you can find it at target or really any place you can get hair care products.
