Flat irons?

my cousin is complaining about hers

her birthdat is coming up soon

she currently uses a 1" wide straightern

she has thick african-american hair

she doesnt have any highlights or nothing,

she wants silky smooth hair

do you have any suggestions for a good flat iron?

Flat irons?

The Chi irons are great.

Flat irons?

Any ceramic kind, ceramic are the best for her hair type.

Flat irons?

CHIs are awesome. Expensive, but awesome.

Flat irons?

chi chi chi chi chi chi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flat irons?

I just bought a Sedu. I freakin' love it! Check it out on www.folica.com. A little pricey, but sooo worth it.

Flat irons?

What? Are you golfing or something?

Flat irons?

corioless, buy them off ebay for 50 bucks instead of the 200 you would pay at the mall ! works wonders !!!!!!!!!

Flat irons?

THE BEST flat iron would be from hot tool's.....

trust me...my BFF has one and she has african american hair

Flat irons?

I recently got a new straightening iron, that I absolutely love. My hair is severely unmanagable.

I got this babyliss and it is AMAZING!

Flat irons?

Its sort of impossible to use a flat iron on that kind of hair.

If she straightens it with chemicals, it should be perfect, thats what I do.

Just a flat iron will not give her what she wants.

People will complain that the chemicals are dangerous and bad for your hair, it just depends which one.

If she would be interested in a chemical relaxer, I would suggest Radical Anticurl 3 by RUSK.

If you have any other questions just ask me.

Flat irons?

I think she should try a Ceramic Straightner.

This shows different types of straightners to look into

Flat irons?

chi are wonderful but very expensiv...make sure you get one that the meddle or ceramic plate is not just flat but curves over the edges so you still get the flatness but it will help make her ends flip out alittle wich is going to give her a much better effect.

Flat irons?

Chi! I've had mine over 7 years.

Flat irons?

i used a friends chi and it worked pretty well, but they're so expensive i couldn't see myself paying that much for one, so last night i went to walmart and bought a 1 inch remmington wet2straight flat iron and it's great. it straightens while it drys locking in moisture to your hair, and it wasn't too bad of a price, just 25 bucks.

Flat irons?

I got mine from an acctual salon, some salon will order you one in. Make sure it is a ceramic one and not a metal one. Also ones with different heat settings are great too. If your looking to get a decent flat iron, make sure you are willing to spend at least $150 on it. The more pricey they are the better they usually are, but you dont have to buy a really really expensive one. $150 - $200 is usually pretty good. Call around to some good salons or if you know a hair-dresser ask them to get you one from a hair dressing warehouse!

The brand of mine is "isinis - extremealism", i have never ever had a problem with it, it works great and i have had it for 3 years now! Still going good!!

Flat irons?

paul mitchell flat iron is fantastic! make sure u use a spray shine heat protector, that will keep it shiny and make the flat out last longer

Flat irons?

I struggled for years to find the right one. Rather than waste your money, buy a CHI brand ceramic iron.

Flat irons?

the CHI is absolutely the best one out there. they can be expensive but if you look on ebay you can find some pretty cheap ones sometimes.

Flat irons?

use a cermaic one that is not gold plated so it doesn't damage hair. it's best to go to a salon for african-american hair because it is very frizzy and curly.

Flat irons?

The Sedu 1" is a very good salon-quality iron at an affordable price. I own one, I love it! Check it out: http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Ionic_Cera_r1...

Flat irons?

First you would want to use a smoothing cream like got 2b 24 hour smoothing cream gel. Then apply got 2b hot smooth flat iron lotion. Apply this lotion on the strand you are going to straighten. Work the lotion into the hair, then use a ceramic flat iron. I would suggest a 2". I have very thick course hair and this works for me. Good luck!

Flat irons?

What ever you do don't get a CHI. They break after only 6 months or so.

Sedu's are the best and longest lasting. Go to www.folica.com and look at some reviews. They have before and after pictures.

Here I'll get you a link :

Chi iron have been in Texas monthly , but more to the point Science UMNI mag, with the right ions, and the iron that drive moisture back into hair and does very little damage. Plus the turbo heat up in a MINUTE so it takes you less time to fix your hair. If you have the silk infusion to use with it, your hair will shine like no bodies business.

Flat irons?

Any Ceramic 2"-3" flat irons with an "extra heat" or "Turbo- Heat" setting for hard to staighten hair is what you need. She also needs to use straitning balm or spray when she uses it to relax and protect her hair from the heat and make it easier to straighten. Best Products for that are Marc Anthony or Got 2 Be Straightening products.

Good luck!

Flat irons?

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.

In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Worst: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, DO not buy them.
