Straight perm help!!!?

1. How much do straight perms cost?

2. how long does it take before it starts to grow back and show? ( I have natural curly african american hair)

3Will it be pin striaght ? If not who's hair will it look like? Celebrity..

1) Cost: Depends if your doing the perm yourself or going to a salon. Salon perms generally cost anywhere from 40.00 to 80.00.

2) That depends on how fast your hair naturally grows. Once the hair has been permanently straightened, it says straight. To maintain the look, as your hair grows from the scalp, the new growth (hair w/o straightener) w/need 2b permed.

3) African American hair is diverse w/a variety of natural curl patterns. Straight permed hair can be 'smoothed' to a pin straight or loose curl/wavy look. It really depends on the natural curl pattern of your hair. If this is your first perm, consult a few salons and ask questions before you relax. Insist on a consultation. If they don't give them, this is not the type of place you'd want to handle your perm, until you are more familiar with the straightening process.

Make sure this is what you want. Once the hair has been relaxed (straightened) you cant go back to your natural texture w/o cutting all of the permed hair off.

I dont know how much it costs or how long it takes to grow back but I do know that it comes out pin straight. One of my best friends in black and she gets straightening perms all the time and her hair is PIN straight. It looks so nice

1. At home perms around $6-$10, in a salon $30-$40(for yer first time I'd recommend the salon)

2. 4-6 weeks before it starts to show again

3. No it won't be pinn strait you'll have to use a flattening iron, and you can still do natural looking waves if you wet it and roll it in a bun. And an example of a celeb. w/ permed hair is Gabrielle Union

I have straight perm.

It starts from $500 dollars...goes up on how curly/long your hair is.

Its taking like 6 months to grow noticably back.

All you need is a touch up.. which is cheaper.

It is pin straight.. i thought my hair was thick.. no not at all now

Its not thin.. its just perfect.. like jennifer annistons hair.

Its great, if you are looking into it i highly suggest it!

Its wonderful and saves so much time!

O btw the product they used on my hair was kerastase.

I get out of the shower and just brush it, it dries stick straight.

No more humid weather worries either!

It shouldnt cost any more than $15...it usually lasts around 5 - 6 wks...and afterwards ur hair will definitely be pin straight..and i should know...im black and I get my hair relaxed all the time..but i suggest that the first time.. u get it professionally done...hope this helps
