sure can. we actually had to have that done to ourselves in beauty school. now none of use had ethnic hair, but we still got a super tight curl. don't see why it wouldn't work with ethnic hair, just make sure to use your regular setting lotion, and maybe bump up a rod size or two.

I don't know if I would use perm rods for roller setting!...Ebony hair is alot stronger, but I've always were taught NEVER take perm rods off any type of hair without the hair being wet!...I hope this helps!!
